Our mission is to address the housing and homelessness crisis by making durable, modular homes accessible to all, especially those historically left behind. We believe in building more than homes; we’re building opportunity and a pathway to stability for marginalized individuals and communities.
Rooted in South L.A., Model/Z is locally built and operated, drawing from decades of experience to create real change. Over 75% of our assembly line team are residents from surrounding neighborhoods, and nearly 20% are women. Through our vocational program, we train 10–20 new hires each month, focusing on Transitional Age Youth (TAY), veterans, and members of the special needs community.
In just over a year, we’ve created 135 living-wage jobs. And we’re just getting started.
